The country is broke. There's no money to hand out many gibs to the left or actually re-arm for war. But being woke is free! Expect a lot more woke.

Power was simply transferred, nothing more. While I’ve been ill, I’ve revisited films I love. Some have stood the test of time better than others. One that’s as relevant now when it was made, is Oliver Stone’s ‘Wall Street’ (1987). When the protagonist Bud Fox is, predictably, screwed over by the corporate raider Gordon Gekko, Fox challenges Gekko as to why he had to wreck the company he was supposed to be restructuring - Fox had facilitated the transfer of power over the company to Gekko. Gekko’s answer is ‘because it’s wreckable.’ Gekko then sets out the zero correlation between democracy (what is perceived to be fair) and capitalism and that explains that wealth isn’t created, it’s simply ‘transferred’. Gekko asks Fox ‘you’re not naive enough to believe we’re living in a democracy Buddy?’ https://youtu.be/jBEA65zdgKw?si=0SXt7_DaQ6aZl-jB

Where the Tories were more covert in their hatred of the native British, Labour will be blatant. No matter, the end goal will be the same. The country is on a road that has no turn now. Labour will suck whatever wealth remains out of the country and its people, with the assistance of the Blob et al. The country is on a road that has no turn now. In the words of The Jam in their song ‘Eton Rifles’ - ‘Get out your mat and pray to the West/ I’ll get out mine and pray for myself’ (ex-Tory Prime Minister David Cameron, of course, chose this track when he was a guest on Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs back in 2008, it’s theme of class struggle was totally lost on Cameron…).
