White Minorities, Enoch Powell And ''So What?''
An analysis of the discourse surrounding Britain's newly released data on demographics.
This week the data on ethnicity from the 2021 census was finally released. Laura Towler from Patriotic Alternative condensed the data thus:
These figures are for England and Wales. Not to be confused with previous figures for the whole of the UK.
WHITE
2011: 86.0%
2021: 81.7%
(A drop of 4.3% in 10 years)
And as part of the "White" ethnic group…
WHITE BRITISH
2001: 87.5%
2011: 80.5%
2021: 74.4%
Here we see a drop of around 6% over the past ten years, and a previous drop of 7% the decade before.
Personally I expected the current demographics of England and Wales to be even worse. As I opened the government document I prepared for a hammer blow but was instead met with a punch in the mouth.
Needless to say, there’s quite a lot of heated discussion in Britain generally and on social media in particularly about what — if anything — the demographic decline of the ‘‘White British’’ (as they’re represented on the census) actually means.
As usual the water carriers of the establishment are on the hunt for anyone who thinks hurtling towards minority status in your own country might not be exactly ideal. The usual tropes and bullet-point inanities are vomited up and blurted out by left-leaning zombies, all of which are dishonest and incoherent. We deserve it, we should celebrate it, it isn’t happening, it isn’t ‘‘our country’’ and of course, we’ve been invaded in the past and so therefore it’s immoral to oppose an invasion which is (not an invasion) happening today.
Because multiculturalism and huge demographic shifts are occurring in Britain as a top-down social engineering project, and neither by the will of the people or emergent in a natural sense, the establishment’s narratives were never fully absorbed into the national psyche. Rather, there exist a set of moral assumptions we’re supposed to take for granted. The social engineering then happens as if such assumptions are granite-like foundations, which they aren’t.
A perfect example of this is a tweet by Conservative politician Sajid Javid responding to Nigel Farage:
Firstly, let us address the obvious. Javid is a man of Pakistani background heckling a white man, Farage, who is expressing concern with the current demographic trajectory. This naturally leads one to think that there’s an attitude of triumphalism in Javid’s tone. Furthermore his avatar is adorned with the colours of Ukraine, not Britain, as if to further emphasise his distance from the British people.
However, what Javid is actually leaning into here is the idea that Britain as a nation is ‘‘post-racial’’, and that we have transcended archaic notions of an ethnic group or a distinct people being in some way bound to a land. Javid is of course not white, but what he expresses in his retort to Farage could just as easily have come from anyone in the political establishment or the media.
The ‘‘So what?’’ serves two purposes and both are founded upon the premise that Britain became a post-racial nation by choice, or simply as an emergent phenomenon of modernity.
1. As a civic nationalist, Farage is now put in the position of having to declare either that race matters to at least some degree (otherwise why mention it?) or that being outnumbered is a negative, because then he'd have to explain why. Javid is goading Farage into ‘‘going there’’ because he knows he’ll be destroyed if he does. But if he doesn’t, his protestations fall rather flat.
2. The second, and I believe more accurate interpretation, is that Javid is saying ‘‘we’re passed this’’ because we’ve ‘‘progressed’’ which is of course not in the least a conservative position — but this is what we have wearing the badge.
However, when exactly did this transition take place? Farage is essentially saying that England is at least an implicitly white country. Javid is telling him it isn’t. The idea that England was a white country was, in the past, taken for granted, but now such an idea is held in contempt by our political class and media. At some point we switched from one to the other, but nobody ever simply came out and declared it openly until relatively recently.
Here, we return to the awkwardness and incoherence of narratives surrounding multiculturalism in Britain — it never had a mandate from the indigenous population.
Despite that, and despite the fact most people viewed their nation as implicitly belonging to their ethnic stock, the establishment have set about formalising the post-racial idea of Britain, one hate speech law and one nudge policy at a time. The discussions and debates never really happened. Mass immigration into Britain was what Power wanted, and it is Power that is demanding Nigel Farage explains why it matters that England’s cities are becoming majority non-White.
Implicit within Farage’s tweet is the idea that becoming a minority in one’s own cities is a bad thing. Power demands to know why, knowing it has all the laws and media-driven brainwashing on its side to deploy at will. The Tory party in particular cannot use a moral argument, because they don’t have one; all they have is decades of lies and betrayal, deceit and malevolence.
The modern Tory party despises Enoch Powell more than any other figure in modern political history. It isn’t just that ‘‘Powell was racist’’ but that at a decisive moment Powell declared himself to be with the people, and not Power and the establishment. This has forever been a thorn in the side of the Conservatives because, by definition, they were embarking on a betrayal of the people and the nation.
The political assassination of Enoch Powell was also symbolic in nature. The earnest man of principle would have to be destroyed in order that the Machiavellians could move forward with a vision wholly illegitimate and unwanted by the people. Enoch Powell has hung like a spectre over the multiculturalisation of Britain ever since, and the Tories know it. The Ghost of Powell is there in the headlines of ‘‘Grooming gangs’’ and white flight, knife crime in London and terror attacks.
Enoch Powell is, for the British establishment, akin to the Ghost of Christmas Past in Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. He is a permanent reminder of the Original Sin, the treachery and betrayal, the Great Lie that modern Britain is founded upon.
The little interaction between Sajid Javid and Nigel Farage is essentially Javid daring Farage to point out the Great Lie, and the foundations, not of granite, but mud, upon which this new post-racial Britain has been built.

I think after Christmas I might do some sort of deep-dive into Enoch Powell. This short article seems to be begging for a Powell special.
