Morgoth this was an epic discussion of a great article. The obsession with diversity uber alles has so many facets that it can be discussed for years.
I often find myself struggling with my liberal friends and family the issues with this philosophy. I've found a good tactic is to use an analogy. Imagine you own a construction company and need a work truck (or a lorry for my British friends 😊). You can go to a used car lot and buy an old dependable truck that has every feature you need. It's not exciting and it won't make your company stand out but it gets the job done with no extra work. Or...you can buy a cool car like an antique Land Rover or a sports car. Multiple modifications will be needed to make it even remotely useful. Any inclement weather or changing circumstances will need to be dealt with. Any repairs will be costly and complex. Any new employees will need to be specially trained on this unusual vehicle. The only possible justification for this extra drama is if there is an INHERENT benefit to using the different vehicle, that outweighs all the extra work.
Sometimes this tactic works. However, the real problem is that DEI has become part of the religion of the left. Thus they will go through increasingly complex mental gymnastics to justify the pain it causes and to explain away how it does not comport with reality.
The most recent example in my life is a discussion I had with my brother, a very left wing university professor. For all purposes he is a high priest of the Cathedral. We were talking about how young people today are paralyzed with anxiety over things that I simply had to deal with and move on from as a young man. He said this is because of the "dividend of patriarchy" that I benefited from, which magically endowed me with gifts and strengths that women and gays don't get. The amount of self delusion and Byzantine logic that is required to come up with these theories is superhuman. And they will be our undoing.
Sorry for the long post but this subject is fascinating to me.
So if it isn't enough for us to watch our civilisation, culture, history and people's obliterated in front of our eyes by unwanted 3rd world immigration, we have to watch our infrastructure fall apart too and keep our damn mouths shut. As I've already noted, a few extra plane crashes or bridges collapsing can be absorbed by Power because the masses are ignorant and under the spell. But what about the much bigger problem, which is millions of our people who are going to be told their 46 year old wife, husband, child or cousin passed peacefully in their sleep under anaesthetic during a routine operation without any possible justice, as Tyrone and his workmates close ranks in the hospital ward.
For me, this is coming from the top of corporations, not so much governments. We can see this with Fink at Blackrock and ESG scores. This is oligarchy driven.
The subject is hotly debated in our circles, I don't think I have a concrete view on it though I do enjoy the way discourse has developed toward a structural understanding of Power.
The very fact that this question appears so difficult to answer, despite so may high-calibre frog brains pondering it night and day, by itself is highly remarkable.
I'll just add, we can see its the banks that have been proactive shutting down Right wing Bank accounts with gusto. They don't need governments to lead.
I wonder if they perhaps get government-based benefits from doing that? Strange that they'd all independently start acting this way. Of course it's also possible that the top people at the banks come from a small pool and they tend to think alike.
Yes, it is interesting what benefit these people get from believing this "holy writ", apart from halo-polishing perhaps. At least our peasant ancestors thought they were avoiding hell. I love the depiction of Charles Dickens' Mrs Jelliby who loved the starving black heathen children in Africa more than her own. I would like a discussion/study on whether this really is a "white" affliction or perhaps a bane from Christianity.
The breakdown of meritocracy is certainly a problem for classical liberalism and for modernity. And I don't think that the contemporary "hyper meritocracy", where even the working class must have a certificate for each new task, is a solution but rather part of the problem. On the other hand the breakdown of meritocracy may be a necessary good. A notion to which I think both Evola and Stirner would agree.

Excellent comment.

I agree very much so with this guy's article, but isn't this part of the Spenglerian cycle? 🤔
Wish I'd listened to this video after my flight. 😬
Why don't you post a link to the article?
I did it was in the video description I also linked before when I did my Too Heavy For Superman essay but here it is once again anyway.
