Good analysis mate, I thought Tucker could have performed better, however Morgan's railroading style, just seemed to bemuse him. Morgan constantly screeching whilst putting words in Carlson's mouth and even thoughts in his head, just baffled the American... "So what you are saying is" "So you think" over and over again, without giving time for Tucker to actually articulate what he thinks, just made him sort of give up. Obviously someone of Tucker Carlson's stature should have been able to steer things better, but Morgan is just such a shite bag, in fact he is the shite bag of shite bags, and thus his shite baggery wore his opponent down, until Carson was like "F*ck this for a game of soldiers"
Aye you are right, especially when it came to the little hat people, however I think he was right on Ukraine, the UK for sure and when it comes to the Post War Liberal Consensus, he did have a little dig there too. All in all he could/should have done better, but then maybe it was all just a little dance between friends, to amuse us all without upsetting the applecart too much..
Perhaps the new centre will be the Endless Conversation™, where dissident ideas are diluted, diffused, made to serve as arguments for long-term policy implementations - a "based" reason for digital ID here, a "based" reason for social credit/CBDC/mass Indian migration/support for Israel there, with just enough neoliberal bullshit to keep the peons on the other side of the establishment satisfied.
When you need white boys to die in your wars, you feed them the crumbs that you've been setting aside just for that case. Arguments can be fabricated from either side to support policies that are subject to no change, discussion or revision. Take opposition to Russia, for example - depending on your camp, you can hate it for being the brown orc horde, the degenerate drunk nation, the fascist religious empire, the white nationalist imperialists, cringe soyjaks fighting against the based Azov or vile homophobes opposed to the rainbow Ukraine. As the saying goes, pick your poison, options available for every taste - just as long as the end result remains unchanging. Same goes for Israel, or whatever foreign or internal policy is being implemented. We squabble over the arguments, in reality supporting a course of action that is axiomatic in nature.
This was nice, I don't bother engaging in the slop anymore so it's kind of others to struggle through it for analysis like this. I would say however that although the 'woke' propaganda has been dropped the irony is that the legal codes, the political enforcement, still remains, therefore it hasn't been put away but has been Normalised.
This I hold is a failure of our analysts to perceive reality as it goes completely unmentioned, also the DEI or DIE hasn't been removed with the 'dropping' of USAID it has been moved into the State Department instead of being its own branch, a Centralisation of Power.
I hold true to the Doom that for ourselves, we must all begin focusing on what our relation to the World currently is.
Other than this, Gods blessings to you and yours Morgoth. All the best.
I fully agree when you say; "The older I get, the more I realise that often saying nothing is the best course of action." ,as you mention, we are always going to be several steps behind what is actually happening at the sharp end of Trump's decision making and tariff bombshells etc. The USAID debacle has been somewhat of a revelation (even if we suspected it) in terms of the utter degeneracy it has been funding. I am intrigued as to what else will be revealed in the coming months. I watched a Bannon interview today where he said the J6 committee (who petitioned Biden for pardons) should be investigated and prosecuted. There is a sense of impending justice being served - I hope we are not disappointed. Great article Morgoth.
That´s the Morgoth that we know and revere: Fully on point, averse to rash takes, careful and restrained if and when appropriate. What exactly Tucker stands for, if anything at all, and what the new center will be are indeed excellent questions.
Found this to be an interesting aside. It does seem to be the case for the online right to take on board, almost uncritically, the justifications a non-western nation puts forward for waging war.
But for western nations, the line seems to be a more simple “war is bad, you are bad for waging war”, without much appetite for exploring possible justifications the western nation may have for their military action.
I’m all for the West being open to introspection when needed, but the online Right seem to be heading down a road of self-loathing?
It's not a road toward self-loathing, actually the opposite. It's a growing awareness that the people ruling our nations do not represent us. It's a growing awareness of the list of false flags and lies they used to drag us into wars that are not just or to our benefit.
I haven’t watched the Tucker Morgan debate because that would involve giving an hour of my attention to Piers Morgan and I’d rather chew broken glass. But I’ve always had a soft spot for Tucker and actually like his style (even if you are proof it’s not for everyone!). He has his flaws, but as far as “mainstream” media goes he’s about as decent as it gets.
As for his ideology, I’m not sure even he knows anymore. He’s been very open of late about having opinions in the past that he no longer believes, and that he’s been on a spiritual journey in recent years that involved being attacked by demons in his sleep and believing in “inter-dimensional beings”. Whatever you think of all that, he does seem to be a bit confused at the moment which may be why he tends to stick to interviewing people now rather than his old opinionated monologues. But it does beg the question of what exactly is the point of debates like this then?
The centre ground will mean different things in different continents and countries. In America it will be less bum sex and less Bomalians. For us here in Great Britain, it will be the likes of Reform representing this ground with their free marketeer proclivities.
I think much of the rhetoric around talking points that interest us will only amount to copious chunks of red meat to haul the punters into the polling booth to mug them, yet again.
This is the question we in the US need to be asking ourselves and answering over the next four years.
In watching the interview, I also thought Tucker was "off" a little especially when the conversion moved to Israel, as if he was unsure what exactly he could and could not say. I have been a fan of Tucker for a long time now and never seen him guess at words.

I don't think it's just Morgan's style, though, but that when Carlson had to deploy some big guns, he did so hesitatingly.

But we're still left with the question of what the new centre will be.

I've been noticing recently that the ''Great Reset'' seems to be coming in from the right, not the left.
Indeed, and who better to implement it, and sell it to the most resistant section in America? Trump and his suddenly based tech bros!!

“It is reflective of the discourse online”

Yes, I discussed this at length with Frodi here. There's a peculiar Anglo variant for winning WWII.
