Very good article. I've been thinking similar things about the Canadian Tories recently. They elected a new leader who markets himself as a populist, but that's really all it is - marketing. He's former WEF and doesn't even talk about lowering immigration, in fact he's said he wants to make things easier for immigrants. But because he came out in support of the freedom convoy just as public opinion on covid started to shift, a lot of right-wing Canadians have fallen for it and think that he actually wants to make things better.
At least the Liberal party is open about hating the Canadian people.
I will gladly see the tories exsanguinate in full public gaze, I have never voted for them and never would. The problem I have is I am getting a re-run of 1997 in my head, and I can't get rid of it. I will gladly stay up all night to watch the camera zoom in on the eating shit grimace as they lose their seat. Yes, they do get all wet between the legs when they see a photo of Winston Churchill or a mention of Dunkirk, they're actual loyalty is to Washington not Britain. They worship US corporate culture and they cheer enthusiastically, nay rabidly sometimes, for every US foreign policy adventure. They're British GAE boys.
